On our last day on Oahu

February 26, 2009

On our last day on Oahu our friends checked into the Penthouse unit in the Lagoon Tower at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Hilton Hawaiian Village. We took some amazing pictures of the lagoon and ocean from this beautiful and spacious condo which includes a spiral staircase. What a wonderful way to experience this resort! This condo is well worth the 9600 Hilton points for the week. It sure made me want to stay an additional week! Hilton Hawaiian Village has fireworks every Friday evening which you have a birds eye view from the Penthouse. Ahhh, now this is the life!!

Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Hilton Hawaiian Village Grand Waikikian

February 21, 2009

We vacationed in the new tower at Hilton Grand Vacations Club at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. We took a tour of their one bedroom, two bedroom, three bedroom and Penthouse timeshare units.

The Penthouse is amazingly beautiful.

There is a view to die for from this condo located on the 39th floor. We were told it took 28,000 points for one week in the three bedroom Penthouse. WOW – that is a lot of points for just one week! Funny because when Syed got up this morning he said he didn’t know why people vacation for only one week.

Our flight was only 22 minutes from Maui. Most people who visit Hawaii travel all day or many hours to arrive. That is two days of precious vacation time just traveling.

Why buy Hilton Grand Vacation Club Points At Hilton Hawaiian Village timeshare resale?
You get more for your money! And with Hilton points you own the same thing as someone who buys direct from the developer. I asked what the Penthouse in the Grand Waikikian Tower was selling for and was told $150,000. The sales rep said they are selling fast.

We Maximized Our Hilton Grand Vacation Club Points.
Same luxury resort, with georgous views but requiring less points we opted to stay for the week in the Lagoon Tower. We think it makes much more sense to purchase a timeshare resale in a two bedroom in the Lagoon Tower, because you can have the same experience of luxury and save money. Best yet, use your points with high trade value to use at Hawaiian Village or at any other of the Hilton Vacation Club Properties

There are currently timeshare resales available at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Hilton Hawaiian Village in the Lagoon Tower for a two bedroom (7000 points) starting at $19,000. http://www.hoteltimeshares.com

Seems like the best buy to me.

Lifetime in Hawaii at The Royal Kuhio

February 21, 2009

This timeshare has a great location one block from the main drag in Waikiki where all the action is.

The condos sleep 4 and have an ocean view, city view or Diamond Head view. Each of the units has been very comfortably refurbished with new kitchens, carpet and furniture. There is also free parking at Lifetime.

We have clients who have purchased 4 months (13 weeks) of ownership. They live in Canada and spend the winters in Oahu.

In my opinion this timeshare is a great value. The maintenance fees are only $360 per week of ownership. Currently we have a timeshare resale at The Royal Kuhio priced at $2750. http://www.advantagevacation.com

What a great way to have an affordable vacation every year in Waikiki.

Just thought I would share the sunset with you.  This was the view from our Lanai at The Hilton Hawaiian Village timeshare.

Our Trip to Hilton Grand Vacation Club at Hilton Hawaiian Village!

February 19, 2009

If it is your first time to the islands or if you’re a repeat visitor to Oahu – this is the spot to enjoy the true Hawaiian Experience. The Village on site offers a wide variety of shops and restaurants with various food themes.

Hilton Grand Vacations Club at The Hilton Hawaiian Village is located within easy walking distance to Waikiki. We are here for a week and have not needed a car. There are buses and trolleys readily available and you can walk just about everywhere.

We are in a two bedroom garden view category which has a sweeping view of the harbor and ocean! The room is beautifully decorated with fine fabrics and first class furnishings – all very Hawaiian. There is a television in each bedroom and the kitchen is complete with every gadget and utensil needed to prepare and cook whatever you would like to eat.

Although, it is hard not to just go out to eat because of all the choices!

The resort has free wireless which is a big plus to us. We stopped at the business center and a gentleman was checking out after using a computer for 30 min. His bill was $18.00! FREE is better!

While on Maui don’t miss Skyline Eco Adventures

February 11, 2009

The Gand Zipline

A few weeks ago, Syed and I and a number of our friends took the Haleakala Skyline Tour. It was truly amazing. Just imagine yourself soaring over gulches and through the trees along the slopes of one of the world’s largest volcanoes. This tour blends a short hiking experience with five picturesque zip line crossings, an “Indiana Jones” style swinging bridge, and an introduction to Hawaii’s unique and fragile landscape. This was so much fun! Well, kind of fun and fear which made it a lot of fun. If you plan on coming to Maui this is a once in a lifetime, not to be missed experience! They also have a zip line in
Ka anapali.

Timeshare Resales the Bright Spot in the Real Estate Market

February 9, 2009

Since the beginning of this year, the timeshare resale industry is seeing a surge in sales activity. Sales are above 75% of what was happening last January and significantly higher then what we saw in the last quarter of 2009. People have accepted that we will be in a recession for sometime and the uncertainty of the elections is over. Prices have come down which means there are great buying opportunities to be found. Bargain hunters and savvy buyers are taking advantage of these terrific prices and motivated sellers in the rejuvenated timeshare resale market. What I am seeing are buyers who are still interested in hotel timeshares like Starwood, Marriott’s and Hilton. Shoppers are also snapping up other properties $2500.00 and under. It is a great time to buy!

Chateau Montelena

February 6, 2009

Chateau MontelenaMonday afternoon we visited Chateau Montelena which looks like a European Castle. In 1976 Chateau Montelena won the worlds best Chardonnay in a Paris tasting. This is the Winery that put Napa Valley on the map and the movie Bottle Shock was about.

The highlight of the month is the grand 29th Whale Day celebration which takes place from 10am to 6pm on Sat. Feb 21, Oceanside at Kihei’s Kalama Park. Ehlers WineryOn Monday we went to Ehlers Vineyards with the “Birthday Girl” Catherine, and her husband Bill. They arranged a beautiful private lunch and wine tasting. This is a day I will never forget. This vineyard which is now organic was established in 1886, and currently all proceeds go to heart research. The grounds are so beautiful with the old olive trees and acres and acres of vines. The wine (and I have drank plenty) is the most superb I have ever had. After lunch we went out to play Bocce Ball and of course enjoy a bottle of Merlot.
