The Penthouse is amazingly beautiful.

There is a view to die for from this condo located on the 39th floor. We were told it took 28,000 points for one week in the three bedroom Penthouse. WOW – that is a lot of points for just one week! Funny because when Syed got up this morning he said he didn’t know why people vacation for only one week.

Our flight was only 22 minutes from Maui. Most people who visit Hawaii travel all day or many hours to arrive. That is two days of precious vacation time just traveling.

Same luxury resort, with georgous views but requiring less points we opted to stay for the week in the Lagoon Tower. The condos sleep 4 and have an ocean view, city view or Diamond Head view. Each of the units has been very comfortably refurbished with new kitchens, carpet and furniture. There is also free parking at Lifetime.

We have clients who have purchased 4 months (13 weeks) of ownership. They live in Canada and spend the winters in Oahu.

If it is your first time to the islands or if you’re a repeat visitor to Oahu – this is the spot to enjoy the true Hawaiian Experience. The Village on site offers a wide variety of shops and restaurants with various food themes.

Hilton Grand Vacations Club at The Hilton Hawaiian Village is located within easy walking distance to Waikiki. We are here for a week and have not needed a car. There are buses and trolleys readily available and you can walk just about everywhere.

We are in a two bedroom garden view category which has a sweeping view of the harbor and ocean! The room is beautifully decorated with fine fabrics and first class furnishings – all very Hawaiian. There is a television in each bedroom and the kitchen is complete with every gadget and utensil needed to prepare and cook whatever you would like to eat.

Although, it is hard not to just go out to eat because of all the choices!

The resort has free wireless which is a big plus to us. We stopped at the business center and a gentleman was checking out after using a computer for 30 min. His bill was $18.00! FREE is better!

We went to The W for dinner our first night. (W for Wolfgang Puck not W Hotels) The service and food was extremely disappointing. The bartender was not responding to our questions or requests. Her lack of interest was obvious unfortunately. And, when she put our flatware on the bar she held the fork at the fork end as she placed it in front of us upside down. We had to clean it before we ate! Food was just o.k. – a bit over priced and there was no sizzle on the steaks being served. Syed had a salad and I had 6 oysters before the steak entrees, we shared a bottle of wine and the bill was over $150.

The following night we enjoyed the early special until 6pm at The Ruth’s Chris in Waikiki. Syed had a filet, salad, broccoli and ice cream for desert for $39.95, while I enjoyed the 16oz rib eye, Caesar salad, garlic mashed and bread pudding for desert. We brought a bottle of wine with us. With the $25 corkage fee our bill was around $125.00. It was an amazing dinner if you are beef lovers as we obviously are!

This quiet coastal Resort is also conveniently located to the attractions of San Diego. Take advantage of the resort’s outdoor pool, spa, and games rooms. Golf, tennis, gym can be found close by as well as some fantastic restaurants.

Hot attractions in the area is the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club for horse racing from late July to early September. Also basically across the street is Cedros Street which is a design district where you can find everything from art to furniture even the famous Belly Up Tavern which has live entertainment and concerts (known for major artists popping in under sudo names to try out new material).

San Diego is only 21 miles to the south, where you can hop the train (station within walking distance) and be in Little Italy or Balboa Park in San Diego. Convenient to popular attractions you can take in the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and the many art galleries and museums the city has to offer. Other area attractions to the north of Sand Pebbles include Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Legoland. Tours are available.
