People often ask me when I am going to move back to the mainland. Every morning I wake up to the sound of birds singing. I don’t have an alarm clock in my bedroom. When the birds go “off” I know it is 5:50a.m.. Shrotly after that I watch the sunrise over Haleakala to the east and the beautiful West Maui mountains to the west. This morning we looked out towards the mountain and saw a herd of deer jumping and playing in the morning light. Our mornings usually consist of taking our dog for a walk where we live. Where seldom a car passes. My drive to the office in Lahaina is along the ocean and this time of year whales can be seen from the shore. After work I often go to the beach for a swim at West Ka anapali Ocean Resort Villas. I live in a place where the air and the water are clean. Right now the only sounds I hear are the birds. Is is very quiet except for the soft sounds of nature.

On New Year’s Eve, Cheri and I drove to the top of Haleakala, which is about 45 minutes from our home, to watch the sunset and the moon rise. It was the second full moon in the month-known as the Blue Moon. It was cold and windy at the top of the summit which can often be the case at 10,000 feet elevation, especially in the evening. We met a lady wearing only short sleeves and shorts. We asked where she was from and she said Michigan. She was using her timeshare at the Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club. She said they were snorkeling and wanted to come to Haleakala to see the sunset.

We come across so many people who are on vacation and are delighted to be on this island paradise. Some of our best friends we have met when they purchased their timeshare resale from us. We have developed great relationships that have lasted many years. We look forward to seeing our clients/friends who come back year after year.

It occurred 3 miles south-southwest of the summit of the Haleakala Crater. It occurred approximately 2 miles deep, and was felt across all of Maui. We were sitting around watching TV. It sure got me up and off the couch fast it was at 8:39pm. It definitely got my heart racing, and must admit…scared me!

The month of September was a fun, exciting and busy time to say the least. I would like to share with you my friend the news and what I have been up to. Not only did I become a licensed real estate broker but Cheri and I took a working/vacation via the timeshare exchange way at a Hyatt and a Hilton Resort in California.

From Licensed Real Estate Agent To Real Estate Broker

A couple of months ago I decided to finally take my Hawaii Real Estate Broker exam.

I spent the entire month of August preparing for it with many hours of studying. In early September I took the examand passed it… first time! Did you know that 73.7% dont pass the first time.

Leaving The Islands For Sunny Southern California.

In September we spent 10 days in San Diego. After our stay in San Diego connecting with friends we then spent 2 days in Montecito (near Santa Barbara) and did a fabalous wine tasting tour at nearby wineries.

Exchanging Timeshares

Our California adventure continued with a drive up the beautiful Hwy 1 to Big Sur and Carmel for a week to stay at one of Hyatt Timeshares.

We exchanged our banked points at the Hyatt Highlands Inn which is one of the most requested timeshares to exchange.

When staying at the Hyatt Highlands we enjoyed spectacular oceanviews, great restaurants at the resort and a great location.

Finally a few days in Sonoma and San Francisco.

The Club Donatello in San Francisco is also a nice timeshare and just a block from Union Square and is nicely appointed and very close to all the excitement, museums and entertainment.

Cheri and I had a great time here in San Francisco and enjoyed the the local restaurants that we found tucked away off the beaten path we also did quite a walking tour of the area which is amazing to say the least. (ok it helped balance out all the great food that we enjoyed)

Packing It In And Heading Back to Maui

We had a great working vacation trip and it was wonderful to see our friends at the same time personally experiencing the timeshares that we sell and exchange.

We are back home and I have timeshare news to share which I will post when we settle back in from our timeshare adventure.

Stay tuned
